Commendations ....
Every classroom is a community.
Every classroom is a place where we create the type of world
we want to live in.
In many classes we have 'community circles.'
Community circles are like class meetings.
In our Community circles students acknowledge other peers who have demonstrated
our pillars:
- Good Community
- Good Learning
- Good Faith
- Good Diversity
Good Community is about: - pursing your personal best no matter who you work with
- being brave to participate
- having great strength to be sensible
- having reasons for the things you say and do
- being the master, not the victim of your feelings
- treating others as you would like to be treated
| Good Learning is about: - The 4 Steps
- Thinking
- Participating
- Pursuing
- Demonstrating
|
Good Faith is about: - Hospitality
- Service
- Scripture
- Prayer
- Forgiveness and Reconciliation
| Good Diversity is about: - taking on challenges
- keep trying in the tough times
- putting in effort
- accepting feedback and criticism
- being inspired and celebrating the success of others
- wanting to learn, improve and succeed

It is the greatest honour to receive a commendation at assembly because it comes
from your community.
The community is a group of peers who recognise your efforts in contributing to
the physical and emotional safety of our community.
